Darjeeling Tour May 18, 2025

TINCHULEY is an exceedingly beautiful place n the way to Lamahata. It is the most beautiful view point in our journey to Darjeeling this time.

Lamahata is known for Lamahata lake. If you would like to enjoy the lake you must track for few minutes. It’s not so difficult if you are not sick or weak. LAMAHATA is a place where you can enjoy the beauty of KANCHANJANGA. We stayed one night at The Lamahata house (homestay) the owner of the homestay is Bengali who lives at Medinipur, Westbengal. The staffs of the homestay is very nice.

TAKDHA is a wonderful place in Darjeeling. It is called the land of mist as it is fully covered with fog. In some village you can’t see an object even it is only 50 meter away from you. You can find a lot of cherry trees with fruits on the way to Takdaha forest.

Pine trees are the part and parcel of Darjeeling. Pine trees are very tall and fat. The fine forest is generally clean. It’s a perfect place to take a selfie and make reels for your social media post.

Jayhan Gurung is a student of TalkStars. He is one of my favourite students. He is one of the highly satisfied clients. After becoming fluent and confident in English, he recommended one of his aunt for the spoken English class. Her name is Nirmala Tamang. She is the teacher of Nepali literature at a local high school. Unfortunately, I could not meet her as she was on duty at the time we were there. Jayhan is a tourist guide in Darjeeling and Gangtok. He is very polite and honest. I am truly happy to meet him and his family. They welcome us warmly.

There are innumerable flowers on the roadside of TINCHULEY in Darjeeling. These are a few of them. I think nobody takes care of them. They are taken care of by nature itself.

This is a wonderful picnic spot near Bengal Safari on the way to Darjeeling from Siliguri. I was looking for the place like that for a long period of time in my mind.

I could not control myself far from the stream. The small river is not very deep. The water is clean and cold. I enjoyed very much in the river.
